The Dogtra 1900NCP Field Star is an ultra-compact dog collar. The adjustable collar strap of the Dogtra 1900NCP weighs only 7.9oz and can fit dogs with neck up to 28”. If you have a smaller pet you can easily adjust the strap and cut-off the extra part as per your comfort. Resizing is made without difficulty as the collar doesn’t contain any antennae or wiring. The points where contact is made are produced from surgical stainless steel and the plastic is anti-microbial. Therefore your dog can have the Dogtra electronic collar on for hours at a time without being uncomfortable.
You can expect the NiMH batteries to last three to five years on the fully rechargeable collar, as the quality is unsurpassed. The collar has an LED light which shows you the charge. If its red and blinking that means the battery requires a prompt recharge. Amber shows it has a half charge and green shows a full charge. Weighing just 4.8 oz means the transmitter for the Dogtra 1900NCP Star Series is nice and compact. The NiMH battery is easy to fit and recharge. As with the collar, the transmitter also shows the specific colours which indicates how much life is in the battery with a LED light. There are three levels of stimulation i.e. the Nick, the Constant and the Page. Nick emits a momentary burst of rapid stimulation. Constant gives an uninterrupted stimulation for as long as the button is held but only up to 8 seconds. Page sends out a non-electronic stimulation which helps to reinforce previous training. It is easy to alter the amount of stimulation given with the Dogtra 1900NCP transmitter as it has a rheostat dial of intensity between 0 - 127. One of the great characteristics of the Dogtra collars is the rheostat stimulation feature, which means you can gradually increase the level without making any unexpected jumps. The LCD screen on the transmitter displays both the simulation level and the battery life.
